MACHINES
A significant component of my practice is rooted in my creation of fantastic and magical machines, apparatuses, tools, appliances etc. that are intended to affect my reality in some positive way.
My motivation for making these sculptures stems from a desire to overcome the feelings of powerlessness that I experience when confronted by various challenges and frustrations in my life.
I make use of humour and irony to deal with and lighten issues that are otherwise quite heavy and depressing.
